Art on the Meadow is a grant funded community program that offers a variety of art-making and studio experiences through short-term workshops for families, teens, and adults on Ox-Bow’s campus. Community driven courses are taught by working artists from Western Michigan and the greater Chicago area. We work to provide an intergenerational and accessible space for artists to cultivate new work and ideas, while connecting them to lasting creative resources in a rich, natural environment.

Teaching artists from the West Michigan and the greater Chicago area are encouraged to submit workshop proposals to teach summer workshops at Ox-Bow during Summer 2020.

We accept proposals on a rolling basis and are currently accepting proposals for the 2021 Summer Session. Our staff will begin reviewing proposals on December 1st.

Ox-bow has facilities to offer workshops in drawing, ceramics, papermaking, printmaking, metals, and glass, but will consider proposals in a variety of disciplines, including sound, fiber, collage, performance, sculpture, art history, photo, film, new media, writing, and interdisciplinary areas.
